Myth: Coaching only works in a 1:1 format, so team coaching doesn’t work.

Truth: Team coaching includes a mix of 1:1 and group converstations. So everyone can benefit and the team can move forward as a unit.

More about the process…

An important element of team coaching is to understand what is working well in the team today. This is gathered by asking team members to write down their thoughts and also discussing in depth with the coach one to one. This step will also bring out ideas and suggestions for what the team can and needs to improve in order to become a high performing team.

Once this is done the analysis will be presented to the team and they will be asked to define what a high performing team looks like to them. From this work they will come up with the high priority items for them to continue to focus on to ‘do well’ and ‘do better’.

The next stage is about rolling out initiatives within the group to take action steps, communicate and learn. After some time the work carried out is evaluated for success and learnings. The team repeats the cycle for as long as they are a team working together.

You hire consultants that will give you the outside eye look at your business. You need their extra horsepower that only they can bring in quickly and efficiently. They have specialized skills that are germane to your business and you want a safe zone to discuss strategic projects. You want peace of mind. Sinead gives you all of that and more. I still contact her to this day to go over issues and be a sounding board. Hiring a consultant is the step in the right direction, hiring the right consultant is a leap in the right direction.

Team Coaching FAQs

Our team is performing well, do we need Team Coaching?

Teams can be performing well and still not have the right foundations for long term sustainability and success. Taking time out to reflect and plan ahead even for a team that is performing well is always worth then investment. It can take a team from good to great and ensure you are ready to weather any storms that may come.

Our team is not in the same location, will Team Coaching still work?

Absolutely and things like team coaching are even more important for dispersed teams. With reduced face to face time, it can be harder to build trust and true collaboration. Team coaching can improve these areas immensely using technology, time and talking.

Book a consultation call

We start the process with a consultation call which gives you the opportunity to share some details on what you want to work on. I will provide an overview of the service. This is also a space where you can ask questions and get a sense of how we would work together.
